Are you sure they automatically resize? I think there's a little problem with how your pics are displaying. They seem too tall (though when I reply to the post, they look fine but are at full size, not 500 wide).

I'm just testing to see if the pic below resizes to 500. ETA: Yep, it resized. But yours don't look quite right to me, the proportion still seems off or something.

I'm using IE6. If you want to check in the HTML code to see if yuku is including heigth and width tags to the image, that might be the cause of the problem. I can show you how to check if you want.

Okay, I know why it is resizing!

I just tried it a few times and it resized non-proportionally for me too on a couple of images. It's gonna be a slight hassle to make sure that it doesn't do it, but sometimes, yuku IS putting in heigth and width tags into the image tag when you post an image. Then when the board automatically resizs the image, it resizes the width but not the height, hence the distortion.

I think the only way to make sure this doesn't happen is to either 1) always remove any extra heigth and width tags that are in the code (I can show you how to do this if you don't know) and then let the board resize the image on it's own or 2) make sure all the heigth/width tags are out of the image and then put in your own width=500. Number 2 is the one that makes the most sense because when the board automatically resizes an image, it resizes it in all the posts but when you go to reply to a topic and can view all the previous posts below your message you are typing, the image is NOT resized (at least, for me) so then it does push the margins out. So, I'm thinking it'd be best to resize it yourself by putting in a width tag like you would on ezboard instead of letting the board resize it automatically for you.

I think we need a yuku faq for some of the quirky things that happen around here. When we finish the move, we should have something written up that explains basic things like this, I think.
