So yeah, I'm not exactly thrilled about this. Had I known it was going to take this long, I would have put in the request Wednesday of last week.

Posts: 363 (12/09/07 1:52 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Update December 9, 2007 Sometime this week hopefully (in the next 12 to 48 hours) we should hopefully be on the regular board. I just found out today that there are other boards have been in the query a lot longer than we have and haven't been transferred over. So my guess is Tuesday at the latest. But don't count your blessings. We should be thankful because when they start doing a push in the next several months it's going to get worse. Right now, they're moving each individual board with tendercare. When they start doing to "mass importations," they aren't going to be able to watch each individual transfer. This domain is currently being imported. The process has not completed. The fact is, we aren't EVEN in the import phase. We're sitting in line.

To something like: This domain is currently in the query for import. This message will change when the import process has begun. I realize it's a small thing... but it's a heck of a more informative than the: Oops! This domain is currently being imported. The process has not completed.

The board has not been populated by your forums, which means that it is stuck in the import process. That isn't really misleading - your board was being migrated and it crashed in the middle of the process. Normally it would have finished by now, and it would have shown up in the stats list ready to be redirected. We will redo the migration, and I will also check that the board is going to be on the correct url. The above is the latest from Yuku. I think Callisto had something to do with it!

A lot of the time I've gotten in trouble at work because I've said something will take less time than it actually will--not intentionally lying, just overestimating what I can do. Yuku doesn't have the resources to handle the process as quickly as they said, but I think they should have just told us that. But I love your quote, Jen! I went back and looked at the old board, and everything's still there. So at least we're not losing our posts. I keep records on my computer of all the threads I find really interesting. It's nothing like complete, but I have that if we need it. I really liked Nutty's idea in the beginning of sending off-key renditions of TBS...but that might just be me wanting to hear you guys sing again. (scuttles off to find podcast and listen to it again) (If we do make an off-key rendition of TBS thread, I'll participate, and I can guarantee I'll be worse.)
