Yes well I'm not going to comment on why or why not PLA and AoX are not allied, haven't been here long enough for that.

However just because Xena was Gabrielle's biggest supporter does not mean any army of Xena's have to be. The armies Xena ruled clearly would have little to do with Gabrielle or her followers other than try their damnedest to enslave or kill them, or possibly a little bit of both. I'm not saying that's XoC's goal, I'm just showing the other side of that argument.

And yet, the PLA and the Army of Callisto are allies. Don't you find that strange?

Though what it boils down to is that the Army of Xena obviously must have members who are loyal to Xena, and those who are completely loyal cannot be supporters of Gabrielle. Xena is the leader and does not have to have a specific loyalty to her army members as such, but the army members must be loyal to her and therefore not support any other, in this case Gabrielle. Same goes for PLA and Gabrielle. Therefore our leaders (as in not board members but Gabrielle and Xena) can be loyal to each other, but we should never be. Granted one could argue that PLA and XoC would be ideal as allies, but at the same time I think it might be in the best interest of the leaders (this time board members), to keep the armies apart. Otherwise I do think the mixing would lead to an increase in the creation of divided loyalties, leading to a decrease in the power of both armies, and their stability. Thereby threatening to undermine the entire concept of the Army Stomping Grounds.
